 'NOVA rolling right into Saturday, all over Rutgers!
Nice week for the Villanova Wildcats! A very strong win over Rutgers on Saturday! Wildcats Kevin Cunningham (LI EXPRESS 2008) had two goals & two assists while Michael Vigilante (LI EXPRESS 2008) popped two goals and true freshman Ryan DeSimone (LI EXPRESS 2011) had two assists against the Scarlet Knights! So that means between Cunningham, Vigilante & DeSimone...more than half of the points scored by the Villanova where achieved by the Express "TRIPLE THREAT" mentioned above! Roll Express Roll!  Brown defeats UPENN in a buzzer beater!
Another tough loss in final seconds of the game for the talented UPENN Quakers! They were at home against Brown and it was a tough way to fall with just 11 seconds remaining in the game. Quaker Tim Schwalje (LI EXPRESS 2008) just keeps scoring. Tim had a goal in the contest and his teammate Drew Belinsky (LI EXPRESS 2010) also had a goal & one assist in the Ivy League showdown!  Hofstra takes out St Joe's!
The Pride scored 13 on Saturday and a couple of Express boys got in the mix! Outstanding true freshman Tyler Begley (LI EXPRESS 2011) had two goals and John Antoniades (LI EXPRESS 2008) grabbed one goal! Antoniades also won 19 of 25 face-offs in the game! Hofstra 14 - St Joe's 9

UMASS Will Manny's (LI EXPRESS 2010) points-grabbing-machine was at it again! Manny had two goals & two assists on Saturday! More Will Manny news...Manny was added to Tewaraaton watch list early on after a strong start to the season! From a stat's perspective he is one of the top offensive players in NCAA lacrosse!  Ohio St. shuts down Hobart!
Buckeye Dominique Alexander (LI EXPRESS 2009) led Ohio State to an overtime win at Hobart on Saturday! The goal, Alexander's third of the day, helped Ohio State (5-6 overall) move to 3-1! OSU 10 - Hobart 9
 'Heels fall short to Virginia!
It was a fight between these two NCAA lacrosse powerhouses! Young Tarheel Jimmy Bitter (LI EXPRESS 2011) had two goals & one assist in the battle with Virginia! And the UNC goalie Steve Rastivo (LI EXPRESS 2009) had 13 hard earned saves in the game! Virginia 15 - UNC 10
 'Cuse & Princeton square off!
Well ORANGE won, but was it Orange/Navy or Orange/Black? Congrats to Syracuse's Tommy Palasek (LI EXPRESS 2008) who had a massive four goals & one assist and the game winning goal against the Princeton Tigers up in the Dome! During this excellent fight, Princeton's Tom Schreiber (LI EXPRESS 2010) had two goals as did his ExpressMate and fellow Tiger Jeff Froccaro (LI EXPRESS 2009) and the third man in this trio was Will Himler (LI EXPRESS 2010) who grabbed an assist in the match up with Syracuse!  Cornell tops Harvard!
Harvard goalie Jake Gambitsky (LI EXPRESS 2011) had a great day with 12 saves in between the pipes! Big Red's Connor English (LI EXPRESS 2009) and Steve Mock (LI EXPRESS 2009) each had a goal a piece for their school during the Ivy confrontation! Cornell 14 - Harvard 10
 Yale tackles Dartmouth!
In a powerful showing, Yale Bulldog Matt Gibson (LI EXPRESS 2008) planted a impressive four goals leading Yale to victory on Saturday! Matt's teammate Brandon Mangan (LI EXPRESS 2009) had a goal and one assist against Dartmouth! Face off stand out Dylan Levings (LI EXPRESS 2010) won 12 FO's!

Wildcats Go WILD on Hoya's!
In a mid week showdown, 'Nova put it on Georgetown in a big way! One of the many points scored by Villanova was done by Freshman Ryan DeSimone (LI EXPRESS 2011)! The explosive true freshman nailed his first NCAA goal of his career, so congrats to #17 Ryan DeSimone! Wildcat Kevin Cunningham (LI EXPRESS 2008) had two goals & two assists and Michael Vigilante (LI EXPRESS 2008) had one goal & two assists in the game! Villanova 15- Georgetown 7

St.Anthony's vs Chaminade, 'NUFF SAID!
The MAIN EVENT in High School lacrosse state wide! Packed house on a Thursday afternoon in Mineola as this WAR didn't need a "warm up". MARYLAND bound Friar Matt Chanenchuk (LI EXPRESS) drilled the first goal of the day after getting the ball off a great clear by STONY BROOK bound outstanding St.Ant's D'Man Jonathan Lynott (LI EXPRESS) which kicked off this great contest! Big D'man headed to DUKE for Chaminade Brian Dunne (LI EXPRESS) played a great game defensively and even had a goal for the big pole! St. Anthony's Brian Sherlock (LI EXPRESS) who scored three straight goals is headed to NORTH CAROLINA & Sean McDonagh (LI EXPRESS) who is headed to HARVARD knotted up the battle with around six mins left in the game! VIRGINIA bound Flyer Ryan Lukacovic (LI EXPRESS) was bigtime clutch to score an unassisted goal with 2:07 left in the game to give Chaminade the massive win in a CHSAA BARN BURNER!! Goalies were outstanding!! Chaminade's goalie who is headed to DUKE Dan Fowler (LI EXPRESS) had 14 saves in the contest! And, St. Anthony's keeper headed to HAVERFORD Eric Caliendo (LI EXPRESS) had 17 saves! Chaminade got the win in this one although something tells me St. Ant's will return with fire in their eyes. St. Anthony's bounces back in a big way!
St.Anthony' s traveled to NJ to play the powerful Delbarton H.S. on Saturday. Friar's Dillon Molloy who is headed to BROWN had two goals in the big road game for St. Ant's! One of Molloy's goals came with 2:07 remaining gave the Friar's a 10-8 lead. Rest of St.Anthony's offense was deadly! Sean McDonagh (three goals, four assists) had a huge day! Brian Sherlock added three goals, Matt Chanenchuk had a goal & an assist! HIGH POINT bound also Matt Koerner had a goal! On defensive side, Goalie Eric Caliendo made 15 saves for the Friars. Froccaro Boys at it again for Port Wash!
Port Wash's Jake Froccaro (LI EXPRESS) had two goals & one assist and Jake's brother Joey Froccaro (LI EXPRESS) nailed one goal also in the game which means Froccaro Boys had 4 of the 13 points their school scored against Oceanside!

Manhasset battles CSH, Goalie scores a goal...yup, Express keeper!
Syracuse bound Manhasset standout goalie Evan Molloy (LI EXPRESS) grabbed a goal in this game! Evan also had nine saves! Cold Spring Harbor's Sean Doyle (LI EXPRESS) who is headed for BUCKNELL was rolling with three goals & one assists, while his Express Mate Danny Simonetti (LI EXPRESS) had one goals also for CSH!
